In a nutshell, unwind early & take the time at night to prep so you can save time in the morning. Enjoy your skincare routine early in the evening as a way to start unwinding (vs. when you’re too tired and it feels like a chore). Plus, DID YOU KNOW your skin needs time to absorb the products so your pillowcase does not?!

Have you been struggling to fall asleep lately or find yourself a bit anxious/unsettled? Are you looking at your phone before/close to bedtime?

Being on our phones exposes us to blue light which can disrupt our sleep pattern by suppressing the production of melatonin, the hormone that promotes sleep.

Looking at social media before bed can have several negative impacts on sleep. The content often overstimulates the mind making it difficult to unwind and relax. Additionally, social media may also trigger emotional responses, stress or anxiety. Bringing on thoughts we just wouldn’t be having if we weren’t exposed to the content.. protect your mind & internal peace at all costs.

Set a time to put your phone on airplane mode and away! This way you won’t be tempted with notifications before bed or upon waking up! I am positive this small habit will have a huge impact on our quality of sleep and mental health.
