YYC STUDIO REVIEW: RUMBLE BOXING

Do you want to break an intense sweat, gain confidence, challenge yourself mentally and physically, tone the crap out of your body, ALL while having fun? Then Rumble Boxing is for you! Rumble is one of the newer boutique studios in Calgary, located right in the heart of downtown on 17th ave.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Badass vibes. When you walk in to Rumble Boxing there is a boxing ring straight ahead, 2 sign-in desks (one doubles as the Energy Bar) and an athletic fashion boutique. This 6000 square feet studio includes the heavy bag studio with a total of 40 boxing bags, a multi functioning training studio upstairs you can use before/after your class and the boxing ring. Rumble classes are club-inspired, meaning you box to the music, with contrast lighting, high energy music and a kickass motivator pushing you past your limits. You need wraps and gloves to do the class, you can rent gloves there for $2.00 or bring your own. Each class is 50 minutes, you warm up off the bag for one song and the remainder of the class is on the bag doing various combos with a mix of legs and abs. They also offer bootcamp classes, private classes and personal training.

CONCLUSION: Boxing is one of my favourite ways to sweat. Before Rumble, I had never done boxing before. The experience you get from Rumble Boxing is physically and mentally strengthening. I’ve been doing Rumble for 9 months now and every single class is challenging and different, it’s not easy but that’s what makes it good! Boxing is a great full body workout, increases muscle tone and cardiovascular fitness, improves core stability, strength and power, relieves stress, burns fat and you’ll leave with [even more] CONFIDENCE. If you are a newbie to Rumble they have an intro special 2 weeks unlimited for $49.00. I buy the 20 class pass for $320 (works out to be the cheapest – $16/class) and it’s worth every penny. Some of my favourite motivators are: Kealan, Amanda, Conrad, Hayley and Nathan.

If you want to surpass your fitness goals, I highly recommend boxing. I’m telling you it works!

Health & Happiness,
