Energize and Exercise Outdoors!

Nothing like getting some Vitamin D, fresh air and a little sweat on. There are a variety of parks, trails and activites to do in YYC. Here are some of my favourites:

The Bow – Strut, run or ride along the Bow River. Great views, even better for people watching and before you know it you’ve been going at it for 10k! Always fun stuff happening along the Bow River as well.

Memorial Stairs – Feel like getting a serious leg and booty workout? Do the memorial stairs a few times and feel the burn! There’s a nice reward at the top too, a spectacular view of the city!

Edworthy Park – Along the Bow River in southwest Calgary, great park and trail, added bonus: the park also has fitness equipment for public use!

Bowmont Park – A nice park that lies along the northern bank of the Bow River. It also features hiking trails, a baseball field and a soccer field.

NOMAD Mobile Gear Rentals – Enjoy the thrill of outdoor recreation without the hassle. Rent bikes, chariots, paddle boards and more, all online! This company is mobile and will deliver your gear to your door and pick it up when you’re done. How convenient!
